Inhalants are substances that the user beaches in the vapors. Intoxication is short lasting up to 30 minutes for most inhalants.

Meth is used both legally and illegally. When used legally, meth, under the brand name Desoxyn, is prescribed for patients with severe attention deficit disorder, obesity, and narcolepsy.

Heroin enters the brain rapidly, attaching to opioid receptors on cells, particularly those involved in feelings of pain or pleasure, heart rate, sleeping, and breathing.
